La Chronique des activités archéologiques de l’École française de Rome présente des compte-rendus d'opérations archéologiques auxquelles l'École française de Rome est associée ou qui sont conduites par des équipes françaises en Italie, en Afrique du Nord et dans les Balkans. Les responsables des opérations y présentent les résultats préliminaires de leurs recherches archéologiques, de la Préhistoire à la fin du Moyen Âge. La Chronique auparavant publiée au sein des Mélanges de l’École française de Rome fait depuis 2012 l'objet d'une publication propre, électronique et à flux continu.

Athar Al-Rafedain Journal is a trusted scientific journal that examines the monuments of Iraq and the ancient Near East, as well as ancient languages with their dialects and comparative studies, as well as cuneiform writings and ancient fonts, and it is also concerned with ancient history and ancient civilizations, this journal is issued twice a year by the College of Archaeology, University of Mosul, Mosul - Iraq since 2012. Athar Al-Rafedain journal does not receive any financial support from governmental or non-governmental organizations, and it depends on self-funding.

Le “Giornate Ghisleriane di Filologia Classica” sono un appuntamento che il Collegio Ghislieri di Pavia organizza in collaborazione con la Sezione di Scienze dell’Antichità del Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici dell’Ateneo pavese per discutere e fare il punto scientifico su vari argomenti relativi alla storia culturale e letteraria dell’antichità classica. Il presente volume raccoglie gli atti dell’undicesima edizione delle “Giornate”, tenutasi il 29 e 30 novembre 2017, che ha visto intervenire studiosi italiani e stranieri impegnati in ricerche riguardanti il genere della poesia didascalica. I contributi, che alternano panoramiche storico-letterarie all’analisi di questioni puntuali, indagano la posizione del genere didascalico all’interno del sistema dei generi letterari classici, la sua interazione con le altre forme letterarie e le sue diverse declinazioni in un arco cronologico che dall’età ellenistica si spinge fino al tardoantico, senza trascurarne la fortuna nelle epoche successive.
Comment l’armée romaine s’est-elle donné les moyens de sa puissance ? La réponse est plus complexe qu’il n’y paraît : il a fallu apprendre à en recruter les hommes, à les former, à les éduquer et à leur enseigner ce qu’être soldat pouvait signifier.
C’est un vrai enjeu de civilisation qu’explore ici Catherine Wolff, professeur émérite d’histoire romaine à l’université d’Avignon. Une histoire faite de réussites et d’échecs, qui montre aussi les limites de la « grandeur » militaire de Rome.
Ce livre est tout à la fois un itinéraire qui touche aux fondamentaux de la civilisation romaine et un parcours retraçant plus de vingt ans de recherches. Ce volume est aussi un florilège en forme d’hommages provenant d’amis et de collègues qui disent leur bonheur d’avoir cheminé en compagnie de Catherine Wolff.
