“Invigilata lucernis” (titolo tratto da un frammento di Elvio Cinna) è un periodico annuale, fondato nel 1979 come organo dell’allora Istituto di Latino dell’Università di Bari e poi divenuto, dal 1994, pubblicazione del Dipartimento di Studi classici e cristiani poi nel 2012 confluito nel Dipartimento di Scienze dell’Antichità e Tardo Antico (oggi Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici). La rivista ospita contributi su aspetti della filologia, della letteratura e della storia del mondo antico, tardoantico e medievale, nonché sulle presenze della tradizione classica nei secoli successivi.

“Invigilata lucernis” – entitled after fragment by Elvio Cinna – is an annual scientific journal, founded in 1979 by the Latin Institute of the Università di Bari, later become, in 1994, a publication of the Department of Classical and Christian Studies and in 2012 of the Department of Ancient and Late Antiquity Sciences (now the Department of Humanities). The journal collects studies in the fields of philology, literature, and history of the ancient, late antique, and medieval world, as well as on the presence of the classical tradition in the following centuries.
The series is provided with a code of ethic and conduct and editorial standards.
