Gordion's Middle Phrygian ceramic chronology

Gordion's Middle Phrygian ceramic chronology

From Elspeth Dusinberre <elspeth.dusinberre@colorado.edu>:

I am delighted to let you know that an initial Middle Phrygian ceramic chronology for Gordion is now available online through The Levantine Ceramics Project (LCP; https://www.levantineceramics.org).

The site features almost 275 vessels from 15 discrete deposits at Gordion, dating ca. 690-525 BCE, as well as additional vessels from the Achaemenid and Hellenistic periods (the Middle Phrygian period at Gordion dates ca. 800-540 BCE).

At the top of the page (https://www.levantineceramics.org), click Search and type "Gordion," click the "Vessels" tab, and sort by date, shape, or period (or click the "Ware/Ware Family" tab if this is what you seek). Or you may click Browse at the top of the page, type "Gordion" into the "Sites" box (https://www.levantineceramics.org/sites/1422-gordion), scroll down to the "Show Vessels" button and sort by date, shape, or period.

A function to create customizable hard-copy handbooks from the LCP is currently under construction.

This publication of Gordion's Middle Phrygian ceramics is possible thanks to LCP editor Andrea Berlin and the hard work of LCP Editorial Intern Grady Gillett.
