Goals of EDEp

EDEp (editing tools for digital epigraphy) researches the possibilities and demands of digital epigraphy and develops corresponding editing tools. The project is funded by the DFG from 2022 to 2024. In developing its software, EDEp adheres to the FAIR principles: the data that is generated during the project as well as the editing tools that will be available towards the end of the three-year period will be made available for subsequent use.

The EDEp editor presented here as a work in progress aims at integrating an easily accessible frontend with the complex technical tools necessary for encoding editions of inscriptions in an appropriately differentiated way. The editor is currently put to the test. Everyone interested is invited to participate actively in the testing.
