The Kahramanmaraş Excavation and Survey project includes ongoing archaeological excavation and survey of the late Neolithic site of Domuztepe and environs in southeastern Turkey.
GYGAIA PROJECTS – KAYMAKCI
The Kaymakçı Archaeological Project (KAP) is a new Gygaia initiative, begun in 2014. KAP goals include increasing understanding of the emergence and maintenance of an indigenous kingdom situated between the better known spheres of the Hittites and Mycenaeans.
UPPER TIGRIS ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH PROJECT – KENAN TEPE EXCAVATIONS
The UTARP project includes excavation and survey of the upper Tigris region of southeastern Turkey and excavation of the site of Kenan Tepe, a settlement significant in the Chalcolithic and Early Bronze age periods.

Archaeological exploration of the large Iron Age city located on the high ridge of Kerkenes Dağı in Yozgat Province of Central Turkey, destroyed in the mid 6th century, possibly ancient Pteria.

PHOENIX ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEY
Phoinix is an as yet unstudied city of the fifth Century BCE to late antique eras, situated in ancient Caria, in the Muğla province near Marmaris.
ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATION OF SARDIS
The Archaeological Exploration of Sardis involves ongoing excavation and study of the remains of the capital city of Lydia, legendary for wealth in precious metals and coinage. Current research includes study of remains and finds from the Archaic through Ottoman periods.
SINOP REGIONAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL PROJECT
The Sinop Regional Archaeological Project investigates the long-term patterns of land-use and settlement and communication networks in the Black Sea coastal region of Sinop, Turkey.
TELL TAYINAT ARCHAEOLOGICAL PROJECT
The large mound at Tell Ta’yinat near Antakya in southern Turkey has remains from the Early Bronze through Iron Ages. Inscriptions from the mound identify the city as ancient Kunulua, capital of the Neo-Hittite/Aramaean Kingdom of Patina/Unqi.
TITRIŞ HÖYÜK EXCAVATION PROJECT
The Early Bronze Age city located at Titriş Höyük in southern Turkey is under continued study and publication.
TROY EXCAVATIONS
With a long and complex history, archaeological explorations at ancient Troy were led recently by Universität Tübingen in collaboration with the University of Cincinnati. Continued study of the site of Troy is carried out by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi.
YALBURT YAYLASI ARCHAEOLOGICAL LANDSCAPE RESEARCH PROJECT
The Yalburt Yaylası Archeaological Landscape Project is carrying out survey and exploration of the Hittite period sacred pool and dam site in Konya province, central Turkey.

The Neubauer Expedition to Zincirli is exploring the monumental Iron Age city of ancient Sam’al in southeastern Turkey.
ZIYARET TEPE EXCAVATION PROJECT
The Ziyaret Tepe Project carries out excavation and study of the high citadel and lower city mound of the Assyrian period city, ancient Tushan.
