News: CDLI data up for download
CDLI data up for download
Good
news for tech-inclined Assyriologists and computational methods
enthusiasts. CDLI catalogue data are now available in a non-proprietary
format, and a daily copy of both catalogue and transliterations are at
your disposal.
The daily packages can be found at http://cdli.ucla.edu/bulk_data as well as https://github.com/cdli-gh/data. To access previous daily copies, simply navigate through earlier commits on Github.
Note that MS Excel does not well handle comma-separated value files
encoded in UTF-8. In order to open the catalogue in Excel, you must
first start the software and then use the import feature, specifying the
encoding.
