The „Journal of Ancient Civilizations” (JAC) is published by the Institute for the History of Ancient Civilizations (IHAC) at Northeast Normal University, Changchun. It’s range of topics covers various aspects of the cultural and historical processes in the Ancient Near Eastern and Mediterranean world.
Since 1986 the Journal of Ancient Civilizations publishes articles, reports and reviews on studies of the Ancient Near Eastern and Mediterranean world as well as ancient China. This includes papers on topics in such traditional fields as Assyriology, Egyptology, Hittitology, Classics, Byzantine Studies, and Sinology intended to illuminate the material culture and society of the region and the underlying processes forming it.
