The Classical Association is proud to support ‘Queering the Past(s)’, a new interactive online resource, which has been developed by a team of teachers and scholars to address an important gap in school education on LGBTQ+ subjects and to use information from antiquity to help students gain confidence in addressing modern critical (and contentious) issues.
We hope that teachers and students will be able to use these e-books, lessons, and activities to explore LGBTQ+ identities and issues in a range of subject lessons such as English, History and Classics as well as Relationships and Sex Education (RSE). Equally, they could be used by LGBTQ+ student groups and as part of a school-wide celebration of LGBT History Month (February) or Pride Month (June).
