Open Access Journal: The British Epigraphy Society: BES News

Since its foundation, the Society has disseminated news pertaining to epigraphic events, discoveries and training opportunities to members on a regular basis, originally through the medium of a (bi)annual Newsletter. Today, BES news is disseminated in a variety of forms, including fortnighly e-mail shots and announcements on this website, whilst a NewsDigest functions primarily as an archive for many of the Society's activities.

Here we provide links to a sample of Newsletters from 2003 to 2010, as well as a link to the most recent NewsDigest.NL 22 2010

      Arachne Monument Browser

      Arachne Monument Browser
Usually object information in the database Arachne is developed by inquiries. With this in mind, browsing is the common navigation form for information retrieval.
Although Arachne already provides this opportunity within the attached context browser, it can be realized more explicitly within some exemplified, figuratively created monuments and types.

Industrial establishments and workshops in the Aegean
      General Information
The collection gathers documentary material from our Institute’s activities on the preservation of the industrial heritage and workshops in the Aegean. It is based on our attempt to register worthy industrial activity, plants as well as artisan workshops, during the process of creating a History of the enterprise. The colleagues that collaborated in this issue are historians and architects, namely Ioanna Vallina, Katerina Dede, Maria Mavroidi, Yiorgos Paschalides, Evdokia Olympitou and Evridiki Sifnaiou.
      Content (material included)
The photos of the collection derive from original shots of the industrial establishments and workshops, photos of documents and objects belonging to the units documented. Photos already published are mentioned by their source.

      Projekt Indischer Ozean

      Projekt Indischer Ozean
